The muffler coupling of an excavator helps to connect the end of the engine exhaust manifold with the muffler so that exhaust gases flow smoothly from the engine toward the muffler while maintaining an effective tight seal to dampen noise and possibly reduce emission levels by channeling the exhaust through the intended chambers and baffles of the muffler.
