The GT2556S turbocharger (AKA the 762931-5001S) is built specifically for those 4.4L JCB Dieselmax engines found in excavators and backhoe loaders.

What’s this turbo actually built for?

This bad boy is primarily designed for JCB Excavator 3CX models and Perkins Agricultural Backhoe Loaders from 2005 onwards. You know, the workhorses that need to perform day in and day out without failing.

It’s compatible with engines putting out 68-74 kW at 2200 rpm, which is plenty of grunt for most heavy-duty applications. And yes, it’s diesel-only, in case anyone was wondering.

It’s also a direct OEM replacement, which means no messing around with modifications or custom work. Just swap it in and get back to work.

The various OE codes to look out for? 32006047, 320/06047, 32006081, 320/06081, 32006094, 320/06094, 320/06079, and 32006079. Pretty much all pointing to the same reliable unit.
